Terms & Conditions


1. Staff

All of the Coo Chi Coo team are trained in the products in which we retail. For example and as a minimum, advice given on car seats and fitting, is only given by Recaro certified personnel. In addition a number of these same staff have attended, and passed courses provided by Britax. A continual process of in store training is carried out by our suppliers, ensuring that we are up to date with developments in the industry and we continue to retail the best products available.

Coo Chi Coo staff are not based at the end of a telephone line, simply processing orders. They are typically demonstrating products within our showroom before taking your call or answering your email. They are all experienced in the products and have an input into the product range we offer. You will discover that any contact you have with Coo Chi Coo will on be on a friendly and informed basis. Any questions on nursery goods that we cannot answer immediately will be researched and an answer provided as soon as is practical.

If purchasing with Coo Chi Coo you will be provided with your own personal point of contact.


2. Product

Coo Chi Coo retails only products in which the respective manufacturers hold confidence themselves. Note there is typically a 2year guarantee provided on our higher cost travel systems. With some lower cost options providing a lifetime chassis warranty. Please stop to consider when considering making a purchase of an alternative manufacturer, Why are they are often not willing to match this performance criteria? Often they offer only a limited 6month guarantee. As a retailer and e-commerce provider we want to provide you with products that you will be happy to use beyond the first glow of new baby arriving.

For this same reason we would also advise that we do not offer a mind blowing range of travel systems. Again quality is our lead criteria, with functionality and cost major considerations. Coo Chi Coo consider that when assessing the suitability and the real value of a travel system, only a limited number of products prove to be the right choice, and these always rise to the top. Marketing ourselves on being able to provide ‘the most brands’ with a catch all sales policy would not in our opinion be considered appropriate in providing best customer service.

At Coo Chi Coo we are also proud to display and retail many ranges of nursery and children’s furniture unavailable elsewhere. We offer the only UK display of Mark Wilkinson furniture - we understand the only other display is presently in Moscow. Coo Chi Coo also hold the agency for Lionwitchwardrobe agency for the North of England and Scotland. These are handmade products, traditionally built from solid woods, which will offer years of service as well as being features of your child’s room for years to come. Coo Chi Coo consider that these particular manufacturers are only willing to partner with ourselves because of our core values of quality and service.

Alongside some unique ranges of nursery equipment you will also find more traditional names such as Mamas and Papas, Stokke, Izziwotnot, Boori and Kidsmill. These are again proven quality manufacturers with proven track records in providing nursery equipment and furniture.


3. Prices / Price Matching

Coo Chi Coo endeavours to provide the best prices available both in store and on its e-commerce site. A ‘Price Match Policy’ is offered and like most other retailers we will endeavour to match or even beat an alternative price for a like for like item. However, we have found this practice uncommon; due to the typical savings already on offer and the level of customer service offered. However, if you do find a product cheaper elsewhere, but would still like to benefit from Coo Chi Coo’s service levels, we would kindly request that you make an enquiry about this policy and we will do the best we can.

Coo Chi Coo reserve the right to change their prices either up or down. This will not affect any confirmed order value. The displayed price for a product may at some point change after your purchase, for reasons of increased supply costs, promotional offers, etc.


4. Ordering Procedure

Our procedures are simple and assist in delivering the best levels of customer service. Once you place your order an email is issued to our nursery team. They will check availability and thereafter confirm delivery periods and make contact with you within 24 hours. Providing the delivery period proves acceptable, we will confirm your order details and also take the opportunity to ask some key questions in your choice of purchase e.g. Have you checked if the travel system chosen will fit in your car boot etc? By this means we not only provide you with a delivery date, we can also ascertain information regards customer preferences such as days for delivery, etc. We can also hope to capture any misinformed decisions on a purchase before you have made that commitment. Only when you are happy to proceed, will we then process your payment, and thereafter you will receive immediate confirmation of your order. With confirmation of your order you will also be given a point of contact (a person and not a department). This individual will oversee your delivery and if you choose handle any changes prior to despatch. This is the Coo Chi Coo means of providing service. You speak to real people, who are accountable and by also operating in our showroom they also can provide best advice.


5. After Sales Service

Our nursery team remain at your service post completion of your purchase(s). Advice will be provided free whether this be on prospective future purchases or simply to provide further advice on products already purchased. It may be that you wish to discuss these matters with your original contact and this will be arranged where practical. We hope to provide you with a line of communication in which you hold confidence. Our philosophy is not to take your order and simply leave you making costly and endless phone calls to a recorded message. Our objective is to make your purchase hassle free and on a more informed basis which we hope will lead you to recommending our service to friends and associates.

Coo Chi Coo will accept returns for faulty products that are within the manufacturers guarantee period. Decision as to whether the product is faulty or has been subject to misuse will be determined by the manufacturer if not immediately apparent.


6. Payment

We accept payments by the following means:

Visa, Visa Electron, Switch, Delta, MasterCard and Solo

Please accept our apologies but we do not accept American Express

We also accept payment by cheque. Please confirm this when your order is being confirmed. You must allow a longer period for processing an order on this basis, whilst the cheque is in being received and processed – typically this may take an additional 5 working days. Cheques must be made payable to ‘Coo Chi Coo Limited’.

Orders from outside the United Kingdom must be paid by credit card.

All payments must be made in pounds sterling.

For card payments we will charge your account at the time your order is placed. This will be handled and processed whilst we are processing your order – refer Item 4 Ordering Procedure.


7. Security

The security of your order and personal details including payment information is important to us. We do not hold card payment information after your transaction has been processed.

Other personal details are held only for the purposes of needing to make contact about your order, arrange delivery and maintain our records for managing any possible queries or returns.

We may at the time of processing your order, ask you if you wish to go onto our ‘Loyalty List’. This is at the customer’s discretion and simply advises of upcoming Coo Chi Coo events and promotions. Typically we may contact you by email once a month for six months after your purchase. To make this contact we usually ask for your email address and can confirm that this information is retained solely for the purposes of Coo Chi Coo.


8. Tax Charges

All prices on this site include the respective levels of VAT under UK law and regulations.


9. Products

We make every effort to portray items accurately on our website. Slight variances in size, shape and colour may occur on occasion due to modifications by the manufacturers or simply because of the calibration of the customer’s computer equipment. However, Coo Chi Coo can confirm that all products are directly sourced from the suppliers and will be bona fide. The customer can be assured that at the time of placing an order the model provided will be the latest offered by the manufacturer unless otherwise highlighted.

All products offered are compliant with British and where necessary European Standards. The choice of product range we offer naturally restricts the opportunity for the breach of such standards. In the event of a product recall, all necessary measures will be taken in conjunction with the manufacturer to notify you of such an event.


10. Privacy Policy

Your details will not be passed on to any third parties.


11. Product Availability / Delivery Schedule

All products are subject to availability.

For this reason Coo Chi Coo will discuss the timescale for delivery of your order prior to its confirmation. Importantly this is our measure to avoid unexpected delays. Coo Chi Coo, are aware of websites that promise an automated next day delivery; but if the item is not in stock this tends to create disappointment in the service provided and results in increased costs for the customer. Hence we telephone the customer back and confirm current delivery timescales and check these are acceptable prior to commitment.


12. Shipping and Handling

All purchases of the value of £50.00 (UK) sterling and above, will be despatched free of charge. Purchases under £50.00 will be subject to a typical £4.95 delivery charge. Delivery of furniture is usually free, though this is dependent on the manufacturer; whom in many instances will deliver direct to the customer. Should a delivery charge be applicable this will be detailed and agreed before processing your order.


13. Guarantee

All of our products are covered by the manufacturers guarantee. Importantly consumers should be aware that some retailers operating through auction sites, etc. invalidate such guarantees.


14. Contact

By providing you with a personal point of contact you can communicate with Coo Chi Coo at anytime during our normal working hours. Contact can be by telephone on our showroom telephone numbers or by email – which may prove more cost effective to the customer.


15. Returns Policy / Cancellation

Cancellation of your order may occur at any point up to delivery. However, items which are required to be ordered in especially for you cannot be cancelled. Examples of ‘Special Items’ are furniture, etc. Such items will be notified at the time of confirming your order.

Due to the efforts we go to in choosing our product range we are confident that you will enjoy your purchase. However, in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied you can return the item(s) unused, in their original packaging and within 30days of the date of order confirmation. Costs to return items will be need to be met by the customer. We recommend that you use a form of postage / courier that provides a proof of sending, as we cannot be held responsible for items that fail to reach us.

Other items which are exempt from our returns policy are mattresses because of reasons of hygiene and importantly car seats because Coo Chi Coo adopt the policy that unless directly sold from our premises we cannot confirm if the product has been involved in a collision under which circumstance the seat should not be re-used.

All cancellations must be confirmed in writing detailing the customer's name and the planned delivery address.


16. Liability Disclaimer

Coo Chi Coo will only accept liability to the customer up to the maximum of the purchase cost of the goods. Consequential loss will not be enforceable or be claimable under the contract entered into upon any purchase. Your statutory rights are not affected.


17. Legal Identity

Coo Chi Coo is the trading name of Coo Chi Coo Limited. Company Registration Number being 05295840. The registered Office is held at 3 Marple Road, Bramhall, Cheshire SK7 2DH.


18. Complaints

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with the service you receive we ask that you contact either Katie Heap (Head of Sales) or Emma Jones (Proprietor). Contact details as section 14.
